How does it work?
Within 25 minutes, this treatment that is a completely safe, non-invasive, laser-based body contouring procedure is designed to destroy stubborn fat cells. We use a controlled hyperthermic technology, and the fat cells undergo temperature injury from the targeted laser, and pass 1060-nm diode laser light through the skin and elevate adipose tissue (fat) to a temperature between 108 and 117 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the optimal temperature for eliminating unwanted fat cells.
When the laser is delivering heat to the fat cells, the skin is kept cool and protected by the sapphire surface which is part of the laser delivery system. SculpSure is not a weight loss treatment, but is meant to spot reduce areas of stubborn fat. Because the procedure is safe and non-invasive, there are few contraindications besides pregnancy, breastfeeding and an open skin lesion or rash.
Most areas require two sessions spaced apart by about 6 weeks. Each session removes up to 24% of fat in the targeted treatment areas. Some patients choose to treat more than one treatment area.
